Chicago experienced the first snowstorm of the season this week, with multiple inches of snow. This weather is putting me in a Christmas mood! The tree is decorated and I’m working on my Christmas shopping list. I’m drinking festive flavors in my morning coffee using Peppermint Coffee Creamer. Peppermint is my favorite holiday flavor.
I drink coffee soon after I wake up in the morning. Holiday-flavored creamers used to be my favorite thing at this time of year, especially peppermint mocha. While I still like the natural creamers they sell in holiday flavors, they often include too much chocolate flavor. I need strong peppermint flavor.
This Peppermint Coffee Creamer recipe uses heavy cream, almond milk, peppermint extract, and maple syrup. To make coffee, I use a Nespresso Vertuo. The Nespresso makes amazing coffee! It’s frothy like a cappuccino. The froth comes from the machine spinning quickly when extracting coffee from the pod.
